Base Building
Last updated October 3, 2026
Booga Booga consists of endless things to do. One of these things is building a base! Booga Booga offers many buildings for the player to craft and build, and use for PvP. However, if you want to make a base be aware that it might get destroyed. For more details about structures, please visit the Structures page.
Walls & Gates
Walls provide your base with protection against unwanted people. They are made from many tiers: Wood, Ice, Stone, Iron, Adurite, Crystal, Obsidian, Magnetite, and Emerald. All with their own health properties from weakest to greatest, however the Obsidian tier has less health than Iron but more than Stone.
Gates on the other hand have the same crafting recipe as their walls counterparts (excluding Wood, Ice, and Stone tiers). Gates allow you or other members of your tribe to open the gate, hence the name. Gates are useful for making entrances and exits (of course you may already know that).
Walls and gates can be easily bypassed by placing a ladder or any structure to climb over obstacle. To prevent this, place a totem and make sure the area is in range of the totem. For more information on tribes, visit the Tribes page.
Pinching
Using walls or gates is also a great way of trapping, the common label for this is called "pinching". Pinching is used for groups to trap someone (or a group of people) so they can slay them. Pinching is typical done by using any types of walls that has a crevice, most commonly, Crystal Walls and Crystal Gates.
Towers
Like towers in real life, towers in Booga Booga are used to get on a higher ground and to view more. Towers are useful in order to get a better view if your base is surrounded with walls. There are multiple types of towers in the game: Lookouts, Towers, Iron Turrets, and Obsidian Watchtowers. Out of the four, Iron Turrets are the most used tower mainly because they are cheap and offer the most height. Iron Turrets are also used for pvp as they allow the person on top of the Iron Turret to not get pinched.
Players can also build small structures on each of the towers, allowing for some creative builds.
Huts
Huts provide a safe space for people, offering a high amount of health and easy placements. There are 5 types of huts in the game, the common hut is the Big Ol' Hut. You are able to place buildings (No walls, gates, towers, or other huts of course) inside the hut to create a home for yourself. Every hut (except for the normal hut) comes with a door that can be opened by you or your tribemates. Huts also can be decorated with windows, for a detailed information about windows, view the Windows section below.
The God Hut is worth mentioning as it is the strongest hut in the game, with 10,000 Health. You are able to unlock this using one mojo.
Hutting
Placing Big Ol' Huts on people to trap them is known as "hutting". Hutting people provides a cheaper and faster way of trapping players to slay them. However, some downsides to this is the hut's size and it's health.
Windows
Windows are a new addition to base building, unlocking a new type of creativity. Windows can be crafted in the normal crafting menu like all structures. What makes windows unique is how they function, you are able to place windows on all self owned ortribe owned huts (excluding the normal hut) and stone walls. Windows are used to see out of, this is especially useful for making a house using Big Ol' Huts since they give your huts life.
Empty Window Frames
Empty Window Frames is by far the most useful window type. They act as doorways, except you can't close them. These are super useful if you want to connect huts together and make doorways to your builds.
